Camp Information

  • Camp Fee is $75.00 (please call our church office if you need assistance with the cost of registration).

  • Camp is open to children entering the 1st - 6th grades.

  • Camp base will be at Meek Baptist Church.

  • Children will have the option to stay overnight or they can be picked up.

  • There will be activities away from the church during the day hours with trips to Spring Valley Beach and Urban Air.

  • Do not send extra money, we will have plenty of snacks, drinks and all meals are provided. No one will need to buy anything extra while at any park and this will keep it fair for all children.
  • Urban Air requires a signed waiver, please visit https://store.unleashedbrands.com/urban-air/huntsville-al/waiver to complete the waiver. If not completed your child(ren) will not be able to participate!

  • Parents are allowed to attend the outings but must pay their own admission fees.

  • We will investigate Bible truths about a character in the Bible with several lessons during camp.

  • Preregistration is a must and needs to be completed by July 1, 2025. See registration form below.

Legal Things

 

Infectious Diseases Liability Waiver

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, your child(ren), our other guests, and our volunteers. You and your child(ren) must follow all given instructions while participating in activities at Meek Baptist Church. An inherent risk of exposure to infectious diseases (such as COVID-19) exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in activities at Meek Baptist Church you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to infectious diseases.

Medical Release

I, the registrant, hereby give my consent in advance to the leaders of Meek Baptist Church (MBC) and to the physicians or hospitals selected by them to render first aid treatment or deny treatment as in their judgment is reasonably necessary, including, but not limited to, hospitalization, diagnosis including taking specimens and x-rays, giving blood transfusions and medications, anesthesia, and surgery for the registered participant(s). I understand the leaders of MBC will attempt to contact me before securing medical treatment, but that this consent is given in case of an emergency. I release, absolve, indemnify, hold harmless, and forever discharge MBC and its leaders from any and all claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses, demands, actions or causes of action, past, present, or future, arising out of or from any accident or other occurrences causing injury or damage to any person or property. I understand that MBC will not be responsible for medical expenses incurred solely on the basis of this authorization. I also understand that the leaders reserve the right to restrict the participant(s) from any activity that they do not feel is within the participant’s capabilities.

Transportation Release

I, the registrant, give consent for the registered participant(s) to be transported to and from church-sponsored activities in a church, rental, or private vehicle. In the event of misconduct, I authorize the participant(s) to be transported home at my expense. I understand that MBC and its leaders are not responsible for any personal belongings.


Minor Photo Release

I, the registrant, grant MBC my permission to use the photographs and/or videos taken of the listed participant(s) for any legal use, including but not limited to publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising, and web content. Furthermore, I understand that no royalty, fee, or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

Consent and Certification

I, being the parent or legal guardian of the participant(s), or being the participant of 18 years of age or older, do hereby consent to the participation of said participant(s) in all the activities of Meek Baptist Church and any other supervised activities customarily associated with its ministries and groups. I certify that the above information is true and correct. I understand that this consent and certification is valid in perpetuity, and if I wish to update or revoke this consent for any reason, I will promptly notify the church office in writing.

Packing List Guide

If Staying Overnight:
1. Sleeping bag or sleeping pad, pillow and blanket
2. Tooth brush
3. Pajamas
4. Clothing for each day (be sure clothing is appropriate for each days activities)
5. Toiletries for showering

*Please note that the church only has one shower and we will ensure each child staying overnight has a chance to shower on Friday night however children should come showered or clean on Thursday at drop off.
Friday:
1. Sunscreen
2. Appropriate bathing suit
3. Towel
4. Dry clothes for drive home
5. Bag for wet clothing
6. Clean clothing for after showering

Saturday:
1. Shorts or pants and camp shirt (shirts will be handed out Saturday morning)
